Board 52 is a boys' basketball officials association that covers Westchester and Putnam Counties. We're apart of IAABO, which is the International Association of Approved Basketball Officials (https://iaabo.org)
How you can become an official:
- Complete the form below and we will forward you the information needed to get started. (Please note you need to be 18 years old for certification)
- We have an in-person class that will teach you the rules of Basketball and help you pass the written exam.
- We also assist with the on-floor training.
- You're eligible to work games once you pass the written exam.
- At the end of your first season, you will take a floor test.
- Once you pass the floor test, you're officially a member of IAABO.
Benefits of being a basketball official:
- Great part-time job.
- Assignments are based on your availability.
- In your first year, you can earn between $55 (CYO) - $110 (HS Freshman) per game.
- You'll remain an integral part of a sport you previously played and continue to love.
- The higher level you work, the better the fee per game.
- Great way to stay in shape.
- Your fellow officials will be friends for life!
